TimescaleDB, PGVector and AI

I've been thinking about writing more about TimescaleDB and Postgres. I have been using it for about 4 years now, and I still don't feel like I know it well enough.

As well as their advancements in the AI space, I think it's a good time to write about it. A few days ago I was at a client and setup a local RAG system for them using TimescaleDB, PGVector, PGAI and a local Ollama instance. It was a fun project, easy to setup and with a great user experience.

I'll probably write more about this in a future post.

On their TimescaleDB Community page they even mention speaking about TimeScale at upcoming events and they helping one prepare for it. They're super supportive in regards of their community, and the team behind it shares so much gold on YouTube.

I love it.
